Beginning at 7 p.m., Chef Rich Hinojosa — a certified level two sommelier — will be serving guests a four-course dinner paired with wines from Duckhorn Vineyards in Napa Valley. Additionally, Chef Hinojosa will be available to guests to discuss the art of pairing food and wine. Seats cost $79 per person, not including tax and gratuity. Beer, Brats & Beards at Brat Haus

Brat Haus in Scottsdale is celebrating Oktoberfest this Saturday with a party full of food, music, and competition. The first 100 adults in line at 11 a.m. will receive tickets for a free pour of SanTan Brewing's Oktoberfest Lager for when Brat Haus taps a special firkin with Scottsdale Mayor Jim Lane at noon. Additionally, anyone sporting authentic Oktoberfest attire will be granted free admission. During the event, party-goers will be able to participate in brat eating and stein holding contests, as well as listen to live Polka music. Tickets cost $8 in advance and $10 on the day of the event. 2nd Annual Garlic Festival at Queen Creek Olive Mill

Queen Creek Olive Mill is bringing two days of garlic celebrations to the Valley this weekend. On Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Garlic Festival will be host to food trucks, a wine and beer garden, and a wide variety of garlic food items (including garlic olive oil, garlic pizza, garlic fries, and garlic gelato), as well as cooking demonstrations. In addition, there will be music from Notes from Neptune (Saturday) and Hoodoo Casters (Sunday). Admission and parking are free to the festival.
