What'd you eat for dinner last night? Last night my girlfriend Jacque and I made patty melts for dinner. It was the first time we ever tried it, and neither one of us are much cooks, but it turned out surprisingly good.

Favorite food: My favorite food is a bean burrito, enchilada style, from Los Compadres. My parents and aunt and uncles have been friends with the owners since their high school days, and I have been eating there since I was a baby.

Least favorite food: My least favorite food is tuna sandwiches. My family use to take road trips to our family ranch, and for some reason that was the main sandwich they used to pack for our lunch, and I never wanted to eat them. So, I have an even deeper hatred for them, because it basically means I never ate until dinner.

Favorite dessert: I'm not really a big dessert eater, but if I get something, My Florist has really good tarts. Other than, that every once in while a get a craving for ice cream and buy an individual serving of either mint chocolate chip or prailines and cream.

Favorite local restaurant and meal to order there: I really like going to MacAlpine's. I started going there for lunch after teaching class at The Torch Theatre with a friend of mine, and we got to know some of the servers there, and they treated us great. I usually just order the club sandwich.

Favorite local bar and cocktail to order there: My favorite bar is the Rose and Crown. It is a popular place for the improvisors and students of The Torch Theatre to hang out after shows. The bartenders are awesome, and they have a great outside patio to hang out on. Depending on the night, I am usually either drinking a Miller Lite or a vodka with club soda and a splash of cranberry juice.

Favorite thing to cook at home: Like I said, I don't usually do much cooking at home, but if I do, my favorite thing to cook is meatloaf with mashed potatoes and greenbeans.

Favorite memory involving food: One of my favorite more recent memories of food was early on in my relationship, my girlfriend and I went on a double date with my brother and his girlfriend, and we made personal pizzas and then went bowling.

Recipe or food tip to share: I don't really have a recipe to share, but a tip that I have is if you are at least present in the kitchen while cooking is going on, you are able to take some of the credit for the end product. You don't necessarily have to do anything, just make it look like you are.
