22. Dan Semenchuk

Dan Semenchuk was born in Germany, lived his early years in New Jersey, spent his formative years in Monte Carlo, Monaco, experienced the ’70s in Denver, and settled in Phoenix in 1980.

He started drawing when he was eight, inspired by his father who had drawn cartoon figures on the white-tiled kitchen walls of their Monte Carlo apartment. He started taking pictures in his early 20s, inspired by his Brooks Institute-graduate uncle who was making 16mm movies at the time.

He started Creative Connect in 2003 as a way of connecting creative people in the Phoenix area. Today it exists to connect, support, promote and educate the creative community.

5. What’s something you want Phoenix to know about you?

I plan on dying here.

(And, if you’re game, what’s something you really don’t want Phoenix to know about you?)

There isn’t anything that I don’t want Phoenix to know about me. Really. Connect with me Phoenix, and I’ll tell you everything you want to know…
