Prescott restaurateur to open 3 new concepts in Phoenix

A new Italian restaurant, a pizzeria and a cocktail lounge are set to debut next year.

A prominent Prescott restaurateur is making his downtown Phoenix debut with a $4 million investment and three new concepts. Vivili Hospitality Group and its founder, Skyler Reeves, plan to open an Italian restaurant, a casual pizzeria and a cocktail bar in the Roosevelt Row Arts District next year.

Reeves is a well-known name in North Central Arizona, where he runs La Planchada, The Barley Hound, Rosa’s Pizzeria and Taco Don’s in Prescott and Rosa’s Pizzeria in Prescott Valley.

In downtown Phoenix, he plans to open Hero, PIZZANISTA! and Bar Saint Bruno.

Hero will find its home in a 2,800-square-foot space on the corner of First and Portland streets, just north of Roosevelt Row. It will be the most elevated spot of the three concepts, serving handmade pasta, steak, seafood and cocktails. The colorful, lively space will also feature a large patio.

New Italian eatery Hero is coming to downtown Phoenix.

PIZZANISTA! is a California-based chain, which Reeves will bring to Arizona. Located across the street from Hero, the 1,200-square-foot space will house a fast-casual pizzeria serving slices and full pies. The restaurant will also emphasize the chain’s “street culture roots,” with merch drops, pop-ups and art-driven events, according to a news release. Reeves hopes those events will help align the new concepts with the personality of Roosevelt Row.

“Downtown Phoenix just feels real to me. I’ve had a place here for years now, and I spend a lot of time walking around, meeting people, seeing how much heart this area has. I didn’t want to parachute in; I wanted to build something that belongs here,” Reeves said in the release. “Hero, PIZZANISTA! and Bar Saint Bruno are places for the neighborhood, not just in the neighborhood.”

The third concept, Bar Saint Bruno, will be located in a 1,600-square-foot space behind PIZZANISTA!, where it will serve classic cocktails.

For the new concepts, Reeves partnered with cocktail pro Vincenzo Marianello to develop the drinks and with culinary director Yuji Iwasa to develop the food menu for Hero.

Construction is currently underway, and the first opening is anticipated for early 2026.
