Let’s face it: costumes are a big reason Halloween rules. This year, locals went all out to prove it. Valley bars and clubs were packed the weekend before the holiday with fantastical, funny and downright bizarre looks. We spotted people wearing the best Halloween 2025 costumes in Phoenix at parties across the city.
Top Halloween parties in Phoenix overflowed with color, creativity and plenty of chaos. Each turned venues into costume showcases. There were clever pop-culture inspirations, horror-movie throwbacks and tributes to dearly departed legends.
Over at Tempe’s Yucca Tap Room, the annual Punk Rock Halloween delivered exactly what it promised. The two-night event offered punk-fueled energy as local musicians played tribute sets to icons like Misfits and Rancid. Meanwhile, partygoers paid homage to music legends, showing up as the recently departed Ace Frehley of KISS and the late Ozzy Osbourne. We also encountered WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker and a couple dressed as Han Solo and Princess Leia.

Gracie’s Tax Bar in Phoenix offered just as much raucous fun at its popular Disgraceful Halloween party on Saturday night. Kooky chaos and and nonstop action filled Gracie’s patio and bar during the event. Local acts like Spaceman Bob and Treasure MammaL performed on an outdoor stage while hundreds of costumed revelers mingled.
Clever looks ruled at Gracie’s. We spotted music icons like The Weeknd, MF DOOM and Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain wandering the crowd. Couples brought their A-game too, becoming the Tums Fairy and heartburn or Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees. One pair even played the Fairly OddParents in pink-and-green perfection.
Other highlights include Gracie’s patrons dressing as popular Japanese vocaloid Hatsune Miku and a starlet from the 1945 film “Ziegfeld Follies.”
