In addition to helping Phoenix film buffs watch all of the Best Picture nominees, local cinema chain Harkins Theaters is now giving them the chance to see the Academy Award nominees in the shorts category.
Starting Feb. 14, three Harkins locations will show the shorts nominees in three separate programs: animation, documentary and live-action. The theaters screening the movies are: Arrowhead Fountains 18, 16046 N. Arrowhead Fountains Center Drive, Peoria; Harkins Camelview at Fashion Square 14, 7014 E. Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale; and Harkins Superstition Springs 25, 6950 E. Superstition Springs Blvd., Mesa.
The Academy of Motion Pictures of Arts & Sciences defines a short film as one that runs 40 minutes or less including all credits. The 2025 Oscar-nominated shorts are:
