Phoenix might be blazing hot. It might be snake-infested. It might be full of alcoholic coyotes. And the sky here is filled with beautiful (yet ominous) soaring vultures … and yet, I LOVE IT! I’ve come to love so many things about Phoenix, the landscape, the sun-bleached pavements, the variety of its denizens. There is nothing better than a night out on the town with a pack of drunken coyotes. There is nothing like giving your child the joy of their first pet diamondback snake. And for all their macabre grandeur, the vultures are quite nice (so long as you aren’t dead).
