Roll out the rainbow carpet, y’all. This year’s Phoenix Pride parade takes place on Sunday and will transform a one-mile stretch of Third Street into a mobile LGBTQ+ celebration featuring vibrantly decorated floats, celebrity grand marshals and a spirit of unity and inclusivity.

The parade, which is free to the public, coincides with the annual Phoenix Pride festival on Saturday and Sunday at Steele Indian School Park.

Phoenix Pride spokesperson Jeremy Helfgot says the parade is as much a celebration of LGBTQ+ and allied communities as the festival. More than 2,000 people and hundreds of local groups and organizations will participate in the parade as a form of self-expression or support.

“The parade is a snapshot of the community and the epitome of self-expression,” Helfgot says. “It's a public space where everyone who wants to participate positively can express who they are and feel safe and secure doing so.”

The grand marshals of this year’s parade will be Barrio Café chef Silvana Salcido Esparza, “American Idol” star David Hernandez and Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs. Here’s everything you need to know about the 2024 Phoenix Pride parade, including its start time, where to park and other details.
