KUPD UFEST 2025, which takes place on Saturday, May 3, at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre, features a lineup reflective of the station's multifaceted rock interests. That includes South African alt-metal act Seether, L.A. pop-punkers Point North, hard rock group Mammoth WVH and female-fronted rock band Dorothy.
The all-ages show starts at 3 p.m. UFEST dates to the mid-‘90s, back when the station’s Red Cards were a thing. As Ben Hartman, KUPD’s marketing and promotions director, told Phoenix New Times in 2024, it’s designed to appeal to as broad a crowd as possible.
“It’s one of the station’s biggest concerts of the year,” Hartman told New Times. “We're always hoping to appease as much of our audience as we can with all of the different genres of bands within active rock.”
UFEST 2025 will offer more than just loud sounds, killer riffs and thousands dressed in black t-shirts. Mesa’s popular StarFighters Arcade will have a Retro Arcade Village at the show. Here’s hoping they bring out the Aerosmith-inspired shooter “Revolution X” or even the semi-obscure 1983 coin-op starring Journey.
