Iron Maiden have visited Phoenix a handful of times in the last decade. Whether it be 2012 at the former Ashley Furniture Homestore Pavilion, or just last year at the former Footprint Center, the metal legends always bring the theatricality and ear-obliterating noise. (Wait: If Maiden plays somewhere, does that mean the venue then has to change its name?) If you were hoping to see the band once again, we've really got a good news-bad news situation.

Because while the band's upcoming Run For Your Lives World Tour skips past Phoenix (at least through 2026),  frontman Bruce Dickinson has announced his first solo jaunt in some 30 years. And wouldn't you know it, he and his band are coming to Phoenix's Marquee Theatre on August 25. That date is decidedly closer to the very beginning of this jaunt, and the rest of the tour winds through early October in Los Angeles.

Expect some big things from Dickinson's return to touring. As Consequence explains, the singer recently overhauled his solo band, with the modern lineup comprised of bassist Tanya O’Callaghan, drummer Dave Moreno, keyboardist Mistheria and guitarists Philip Naslund and Chris DeClercq. This lineup continues to play in support of Dickinson's "The Mandrake Project," his first solo record since 2005's "Tyranny of Souls." If you're wondering about that latest LP, some reviews have heralded it as being equal to Iron Maiden's own righteous fury.

We'll let you be the judge of that this August, but best bring extra earplugs just to be safe.
Tickets are on sale Friday, March 7 at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
