On Thursday, hundreds of Arizonans marched from the Arizona Capitol to downtown Phoenix in protest of President Donald Trump and his countless assaults on the economy, immigrants and the Constitution.
Dubbed the “May Day” protest – May 1 being a day historically used to advocate for worker rights – the event was organized by a host of groups, including Save Our Schools Arizona, Living United for Change in Arizona and Unite HERE Local 11.
The protest was the latest in a series of demonstrations that have descended upon the Capitol since Trump’s inauguration. Clearly, Phoenix is down to protest.
Phoenix New Times was there. Here are 19 of our favorite photos from the event.

Several protesters carried signs related to the continued imprisonment in El Salvador of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, whom the Trump administration admits it mistakenly deported.
