Pitchers and catchers reported for spring training in the Valley last week, but San Francisco Giants closer Brian "The Beard" Wilson didn't spend his weekend working on his fastball -- he spent it partying with Charlie Sheen, and several baseball legends, in what might be the best weekend ever for any self-respecting baseball fan.
Sheen reportedly had his private jet fly to Arizona Friday to give Wilson a lift back to his home in Los Angeles -- where Sheen's currently in the midst of at-home rehab thanks to his love of all things drugs/hookers -- where the two were joined by the likes of Kenny Lofton, Todd Zeile, Eddie Murray, Lenny Dykstra, and other baseball greats.
Sheen and the ballplayers didn't spend their weekend snorting
cocaine, and terrifying prostitutes -- as one might conclude given
Sheen's history -- they spent it watching the 1989 classic film Major League, in which Sheen played outlaw flamethrower Rickie "Wild Thing" Vaughn.
During the screening, held at the private theater in Sheen's home, the troubled star let the baseball icons try on Babe Ruth's 1927 World Series ring, which he bought at an auction more than a decade ago.
"I'm married ... to baseball," Sheen tells TMZ.If you take a look at how some of Sheen's other marriages have ended, this could be disastrous for baseball.
