Bobby's Burgers brings first stand-alone restaurants to the Valley

The celebrity chef opened a location in the airport in 2023. But soon, fans won't need plane tickets to get a taste.

Celebrity chef Bobby Flay visited the Valley in October 2023. He, along with Mayor Kate Gallego, celebrated the opening of the first Arizona location of Bobby's Burgers located inside Sky Harbor International Airport.

But soon, fans won't need a plane ticket to taste the chef's burgers and shakes.

Bobby's Burgers is set to open multiple locations in the Valley, with the first opening its doors in 2026.

The new locations come thanks to franchisee Joe Sample, who opened his first Bobby's Burgers outpost in Utah in December 2024.

“After the incredible welcome we’ve received in Orem (Utah) and the unwavering support from the Bobby’s Burgers team, expanding into Arizona just made sense,” Sample said in a news release. “This brand is fantastic. It's bold, craveable and the Bobby Flay-curated menu speaks for itself."

Bobby's Burgers serves an a la carte menu of seven different angus beef burgers piled with toppings from potato chips in the Crunchburger to bacon and a fried egg in the Brunch Burger. A veggie burger and chicken sandwich are also available along with breakfast at select locations.

Customers can pair their burger with onion rings or loaded fries and one of the five different milkshake flavors.

The menu was developed by the celebrity chef who is best known for his TV appearances on "Iron Chef America," "Beat Bobby Flay" and "Bobby's Triple Threat." He's also a cookbook author, James Beard Award winner and restaurateur. Most of the current Bobby's Burgers locations are in casinos, airports and sports arenas.

The company's new franchise agreement hopes to see stand-alone locations open across the country. The exact locations of the Arizona restaurants have not yet been shared, as Sample "is currently exploring several promising opportunities across the Valley," according to the company.

He is the founder of Crave Management Group, which operates locations of Bobby's Burgers and Taco Bell.

"Arizona’s dynamic market is the ideal place for us to continue the success we've seen in Orem and we're beyond excited to bring Bobby’s Burgers to a whole new audience," Sample said.
