Grandma's Eggnog at Z'Tejas
The history of eggnog is just about as rich as its ingredients. In Colonial times, settlers would keep it simple: a mix of wine, spirits, eggs, and sugar. Across generations, the drink has evolved to include spices and cream, becoming synonymous with holiday parties and seasonal cheer. Z'Tejas is bringing back its homemade mi abuelita eggnog from December 20 until December 31. This recurring holiday treat is the executive chef's grandmother's eggnog recipe made with spices and zipped up with rum. Z'Tejas has two Valley locations, 7221 West Ray Road in Chandler, and 8300 North Hayden Road in Scottsdale.

Meet the Grinch at Feliz Navidad Cantina
Transforming the Salt and Lime Modern Mexican Grill into the Feliz Navidad Cantina has become a holiday tradition at the Scottsdale restaurant, 9397 East Shae Boulevard, Suite 115. The Christmas pop-up concept was born in 2020, and is back this year. The transformation includes floor-to-ceiling decorations, employees in costume, occasional visits from Santa and the Grinch, and a festive food and beverage menu. The pop-up runs through early January. On Mondays, Kids 12 years and younger can enjoy a free meal with the purchase of an adult entrée, and hang around for photos with the Grinch or on Santa's sleigh. The restaurant is also partnering with Maag Toy Foundation for a special holiday toy drive.

Holiday Trivia
Put your holiday knowledge to the test at holiday trivia at the Linger Longer Lounge, 6522 North 16th Street, #6. Local comedian Anwar Newton will host the test of wits through eight rounds of festive holiday questions. To enhance thinkability, the lounge will be serving $5 drafts and $6 hot toddies. Sign up by 6:45 p.m. on Monday and be ready to flex that big brain of yours at 7.
