More than 60 different street artists, graf fiends, and painters got busy and got creative over Art Detour weekend as they adorned buildings and walls around Roosevelt Row, Grand Avenue, 16th Street, and other downtown Phoenix locations with legal murals as a part of Paint PHX. For three straight days from Friday, March 6, to Sunday, March 8, the artists involved with project used a rainbow of colors and endless cans of spray paint to craft their spectacular and stunning works.
It coincided with the Paint PHX Block Party along Fifth Street on Saturday, March 6, that features dozens of other artists and performances by such local bands as Drunken Immortals, Wooden Indian, and the Phoenix Afrobeat Orchestra.
