If you wore any sort of costume out to Phoenix Comicon 2014 this past weekend, then we salute you. It took a lot of gumption to wear anything other than shorts and a T-shirt when temperatures hovered around 110 degrees during the entire run of the event from Thursday, June 5, to Sunday, June 8, particularly if it was something made from spandex, pleather, or other non-breathable materials used in making much of colorful attire worn by the legions of attendees who visited the massive geek-a-thon at the Phoenix Convention Center, Hyatt Regency, or other downtown locations.

We spied tons of costumes during all four days of Comicon -- especially those that were impressive, imaginative, and inspired -- and got plenty of snapshots.
