What'd you eat for dinner last night? Pho ga from Da Vang in Phoenix.
Favorite food: Korean food is really starting to shoot up on my list of favorites. Bi bim bap is my favorite Korean dish so far.
Least favorite food: Olives. So trendy, so briny, so overrated.
Favorite dessert: Even though it has not a drop of chocolate in it, I'll say the banofee pie at The Cornish Pasty Co.
Favorite local restaurant and meal to order there: Tottie's Asian Fusion is really doing it for me lately. If I had to pick just one favorite dish, I'd probably go with dragonfly noodles.
Favorite local bar and cocktail to order there: Sun Up Brewing-pretty much anything that's in the cask that day. I don't really do mixed drinks.
Favorite thing to cook at home: Swordfish, golden beets and a good salad.
Favorite memory involving food: When I was in New Zealand, the guy driving our bus was delirious with joy when I ate a possum pie. His reaction was far more memorable than the taste of possum.
Recipe or food tip to share: Those golden beets I mentioned: cube them, coat them in olive oil and throw them in the oven for about 40 minutes at 400 degrees. Throw in some feta cheese and dried cherries. Done!
