St. Patrick’s Day in Phoenix is almost here. The Valley is gearing up for several days of green beer, live music and shamrock-filled revelry.
The biggest celebrations will happen this weekend and on St. Patrick’s Day itself, Tuesday, March 17. Saturday’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Faire returns to downtown Phoenix with traditional entertainment and festivities in and around Margaret T. Hance Park.
Irish pubs across the Valley will also be packed in the days before March 17 and on the holiday. Favorites like Séamus McCaffrey’s Irish Pub and Tim Finnegan’s Irish Restaurant & Pub will pour pints, host live music and welcome crowds eager to celebrate.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Faire
Downtown Phoenix
Phoenix’s biggest St. Patrick’s Day tradition returns to downtown with a full day of Irish-themed festivities. The parade starts at 10 a.m. at Third and Oak streets and winds down Third Street to Margaret T. Hance Park, 1202 N. Third St., with floats, marching bands and step dancers.
The celebration continues at the park with an afternoon-long faire featuring Irish music, bagpipers, dancing, food and drink, artisan vendors and activities for kids. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults, $12 for military with ID and free for children 12 and under.
Casey Moore’s
850 S. Ash Ave., Tempe
St. Patrick’s Day is practically a house holiday at Casey Moore’s. The beloved Tempe bar and restaurant will celebrate with Irish spirits, cold beer and dishes from a special St. Patrick’s Day menu. Doors open at 10 a.m. and the party runs until 2 a.m. No cover.
Connolly’s
2605 W. Carefree Highway
Connolly’s in north Phoenix hosts a St. Patrick’s Day parking lot party starting at 9 a.m. Expect green beer, Irish food, live music, DJs and other delights. Call 623-879-5997 for admission cost and other info.
The Dubliner

The Dubliner in Phoenix is planning four days of festivities from March 14 to 17. A special menu of corned beef and cabbage, bangers and mash, Shepherd’s pie, Irish beef and bratwurst sandwiches will be served each day.
Saturday’s schedule will offer performances by Peat Diggers, The Michaels and local bagpipers and Irish dancers. Sunday’s lineup will include Peat Diggers and other local musicians. Music on St. Patrick’s Day will feature Jason DeVore, Peat Diggers, Liars Who Lie and local Irish dancers. A $10 cover starts at 10 a.m. on March 17. Cash only.

Fibber Magee’s Pub

Fibber Magee’s in Chandler offers the biggest St. Patrick’s Day block party in the East Valley. Highlights include an outdoor beer garden, a full bar and an outdoor kitchen. The music lineup will feature DJ Real at 11:30, Big Fellahs at 2 p.m., Open Beta at 4:30 p.m. and Jason DeVore at 7 p.m.
Giligin’s
4251 N. Winfield Scott Plaza, Scottsdale
Giligin’s brings back its notorious St. Patrick’s Day block party on Friday and Saturday with two nights of revelry outside the longtime Scottsdale bar. Green beer, games and Irish whiskey specials will be flowing while DJs keep the party going. Festivities start at 7 p.m. each night. Cover is $10.
Irish Wolfhound Pub

Lucky’s St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl

Drinkers can hit up more than a dozen Scottsdale spots on this evening-long pub hop. Participating spots include Boondocks Patio and Grill, The Hot Chick, Bottled Blonde and Wasted Grain while scoring drink vouchers and food specials. Festivities run from 4 p.m. to midnight. Single tickets are $26.69.
Murphy’s Law Irish Pub
