The 2025 APS Electric Light Parade rolls through Phoenix on Saturday, Dec. 6, with illuminated floats and vehicles spreading mobile holiday cheer block by block.
The free holiday tradition has dazzled the Valley since the 1980s. This year’s theme is “Let It Glow!” and includes features light-wrapped vehicles and marching bands.
The parade will travel along a 2.3-mile route through midtown Phoenix starting from Central Avenue and Camelback Road. Spectators can bring chairs and other seating to use while watching the parade, which starts at 7 p.m.

When is the APS Electric Light Parade?
The 2025 APS Electric Light Parade is on Saturday, Dec. 6.
What time is the light parade in Phoenix?
The APS light parade starts at 7 p.m. on Saturday. Early arrival is strongly recommended. While the parade’s runtime may vary, Phoenix city officials estimate it will end by 8:30 p.m.

The parade will depart from Central and Montebello avenues, traveling south to Camelback Road. It will then head east on Camelback Road and then go south on Seventh Street.
Phoenix street closures for the APS Electric Light Parade
The following streets will be shut down from 5 to 11 p.m. on Saturday for the parade:
- Camelback Road between First Avenue and Seventh Street
- Central Avenue between Camelback Road and Bethany Home Road
- Seventh Street between Indian School Road and Osborn Road
Parking for the APS Electric Light Parade
Phoenix officials recommend using Valley Metro park-and-ride lots and the light rail. Multiple stations are within a short distance of the parade route and fares are $2 per ride or $4 for an all-day pass.Free parking is available on city streets near the parade route on a first-come, first-served basis. Nearby businesses and private lots may offer paid parking.
What’s the weather going to be like?
The APS Electric Light Parade will take place rain or shine. However, Saturday evening is expected to be mostly clear with temperatures around 50 degrees. Spectators are encouraged to dress warmly.
Where is the best spot to watch the APS Electric Light Parade?
Great views are available along the entire parade route, but spots are first-come, first-served. City of Phoenix officials say that spectators often arrive hours before to stake out a good spot.
Will restrooms be available?
Portable restrooms will be located along the parade route.
