We get it. You've got enough on your plate to worry about. Whether it's navigating day-to-day life, discovering your larger purpose in the world, or figuring out a time to go see Mad Max: Fury Road. Allow us to help you out with some of that stress and cross worrying about what you're going to do this week off your list. We've got three events to fill your time without emptying your wallet.

Four Chambers and Welcome Hospitality announce Welcome Home

Join the people behind Welcome Hospitality and Four Chambers, an independent community literary magazine, as they launch a new collection of prose and poetry entitled "Welcome Home," inspired by the sense of community that has developed around Welcome Diner and Welcome Chicken + Donuts in downtown Phoenix. Jenn Robinson, Michael Alan Babcock III, Sloane McFarland, the creators of Welcome Hospitality, will speak about what Welcome means to them on Tuesday, May 19, at 5 p.m. at Welcome Diner, 924 East Roosevelt Street. Happy hour specials will be offered all night. For more information about this event and the submission process, visit the event's Facebook page

Nerd Nite 27

If we're really being honest with ourselves, we're all nerds about something. Admit it and prepare to get your nerd on during Nerd Night Phoenix's Nerd Nite 27: School's Out For Summer. It's About &^#*(ing Time. Oh, and get your drink and learning on, too. As the to-the-point title may tell you, this month's event is themed to be either a little scholarly or not scholarly at all, depending on how you look at it. Nerd Nite 27 will be at Mod, 2828 North Central Avenue, on Thursday, May 21, from 7 to 10 p.m. For more information, check out the event's Facebook page

The Sunset Tapes Art Night

Local production group Delta Black Productions will host a night full of art, film, and free food for their upcoming film, the surrealistic thriller The Sunset Tapes. Featuring guest speaker Tray Goodman of Crushing Your Box and guest artist Gary Freitas, The Sunset Tapes Art Night will include an art exhibition, script slam, and silent auction. So head over to The Newton, 300 West Camelback, on Saturday, May 23, from 6 to 10 p.m. See the event's Facebook page for more information.
