Back in August of 2001, long before craft beer sank its jagged little teeth into the hearts of trend-setting hipsters and fixed-gear riding brocavores across the country, a little brick building called the Sonora Brewhouse opened its doors for people to enjoy cold pints of Sonoran Brewery’s locally crafted beer. Five years later, Uwe Boer came a long and started brewing beer at the location. With the new brews came a new name, and Sun Up Brewing Company was introduced to the Valley of the Sun.
Help celebrate the suds spot’s birthday during its 11th Anniversary Party on Sunday, August 19, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at 322 East Camelback Road. Attendees will party and enjoy prizes, raffles, a corn hole tournament, and free food to nibble on while sipping a few pints of Boer’s tasty craft beer.
