Hot Shots

If you feel a sense of pride in our Valley sports teams, you can thank the Phoenix Mercury.

Before the Cardinals, Coyotes, and Suns played themselves through successful regular seasons, the Mercury was wrapping up its second WNBA title in three years. And there’s a good chance that the lady ballers will defend its crown in 2010, especially because All-Star forward Penny Taylor and point guard Temeka Johnson re-signed with the club. Of course, there’s still Diana Taurasi, who will light up fools from behind the arc all day long.
