International Incident

Do you know how to speak French or Italian? While you probably won’t be fluent after attending the annual WorldFEST this weekend, you might pick up a phrase or two en Francais, Chinese, or Hebrew.

All nine of Phoenix’s sister cities -- from Calgary, Canada to Taipei, Taiwan -- will be celebrated during the weekend-long event at Heritage Square, 115 North Sixth Street, that kicks off on Friday, March 18.

Beer drinkers can go on a globe-trotting drinking adventure via the numerous pilsners, ales, lagers, and other brews from around the world. Live music and entertainment will be presented, international cuisine will be served, and plenty of kid-friendly activities will take place.

Fri., March 18, 4-10 p.m.; Sat., March 19, 12-11 p.m.; Sun., March 20, 12-5 p.m., 2011
