Here's a great bit of trivia: Who's the only actor to appear in all 11 live-action "Star Wars" films?
That would be Anthony Daniels, who has portrayed the iconic gold protocol droid C-3PO since 1977.
Daniels is the latest big name to be announced as a guest at Phoenix Fan Fusion, the annual geek and pop culture event. Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith, also known as Jay and Silent Bob, were announced last week, and many more guests will be revealed in the weeks to come.
Daniels, who turns 79 next week, has a career that goes far beyond the beloved C-3PO. He was the voice of Legolas in the 1978 animated version of "The Lord of the Rings" and has racked up dozens of television credits including "Prime Suspect " and "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles."
In addition to his acting credits, Daniels has been an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon University's Entertainment Technology Center. His autobiography, "I Am C-3PO: The Inside Story," was released in 2019.
We don't yet have information on when Daniels' photo op and signing times will be, but according to the Fan Fusion website, he'll be charging $120 for a photo, $120 to sign an 8"x10" photo and $140 to sign anything else.
Phoenix Fan Fusion, presented by organizers Square Egg Entertainment, will be held June 6 to 8 at the Phoenix Convention Center. Fan Fusion tickets, also known as memberships, are now on sale.
