If you're the type who likes surprises — and seeing movies — then your plans for Monday, Aug. 11 are set.

Local movie chain Harkins Theatres' Secret Cinema Experience is an ongoing series that gives film fans a chance to see a forthcoming flick for only $5 (that comes to a cool $6.85 with processing fees if you buy your ticket online). The catch is that you don't know what you're seeing until you get there.

In recent months, Secret Cinema audiences have been treated to preview screenings of "Bring Her Back," an Australian horror movie with an 89% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, as well as Mike Flanagan's "The Life of Chuck," based on a Stephen King novella and summer blockbuster "Jurassic World Rebirth."

The next installment of the series, scheduled for 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 11, is rated R, but it's not being listed as a horror film like the "Bring Her Back" screening. However, those are the only clues we have. But for $5, we think it's worth taking a chance.
