In spite of being Olympic sport, archery often takes a backseat to sexier sports (ahem, tinier outfits) like track and field or swimming. Thing is some of history’s coolest dudes wielded bows and arrows -- Robin Hood, Apollo, and William Tell to name a few.
While the 2012 AAE Arizona Cup won’t include appearances from those characters, more than 250 international competitors -- including Arizona native and Olympic hopeful Brady Ellison -- will aim to make history of their own during the four-day tourney.
