Concerts at the Arizona State Fair
Big-name concerts have been a staple of the Arizona State Fair since the 1960s. Over the decades, music legends like Nirvana, Bob Dylan, Snoop Dogg, KISS, Johnny Cash, Green Day, Alice Cooper, Morrissey, Korn, Merle Haggard, and Foo Fighters have all rocked the coliseum stage. For years, fairgoers could attend these performances for free, albeit with the exception of paying for reserved seats on the floor of the coliseum or closer to the stage.
That practice changed in 2023. After a four-year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the fair’s concert series made a comeback, albeit with a smaller selection of shows and paid seating, which fair organizers say were due to increased costs.
