Dancing Alligators Take To The Streets of Tempe

Okay, we admit we're being a tad goofy and over-dramatic with the headline for this post, but it's nowhere near as goofy as the video we captured in the heart of Tempe near ASU yesterday afternoon.

It's definately a "WTF!?!" kind of deal: Check it out (with an explanation after the jump):

So what's the deal? Simple. It's "Barney," the costumed mascot for Barney's Boathouse. For those not in the know, Barney's is a rather raucous beach-themed college bar located across the street from ASU next door to the Chuckbox burger joint.

Apparently, "Barney" was in a mood to attract some customers and decided to get down to the classic rock and disco tracks that were pumping from the bar's sound system. At least he's got better dance moves than those guys you see twirling signs for furniture sales on various street corners around the Valley. -- Benjamin Leatherman
