Update: Catalina Clouser's Baby Was Also in the Car During Boyfriend's DUI, Before Getting Dumped in Phoenix Intersection

Catalina Clouser put her 2-month-old baby in a car seat after smoking some weed with her boyfriend at a Phoenix park Friday night.

The minor detail she missed was that the 19-year-old left her kid on the roof of the car and drove away, and she realized this mistake about 12 miles down the road, police say.

The kid eventually was found by another driver, sitting in the middle of the intersection at 45th Avenue and Cholla Street -- about two blocks away from where she had started her trip.

According to court documents obtained by New Times, Clouser, her boyfriend took the baby to a park to smoke some weed around 9 p.m. Friday, and eventually went to a convenience store to pick up some stuff.

Shortly before 11 p.m., police stopped Clouser's boyfriend for erratic driving, and was arrested for driving while impaired by intoxicating substances, according to the documents.

Clouser told police she had also partaken in the pot-smoking, so they gave her a ride to her boyfriend's house.

Clouser eventually made it to a friend's house near 45th Avenue and West Lupine Avenue, before leaving that house around midnight.

By 12:45 a.m., someone was phoning up the cops, letting them know that they just drove through the intersection of 45th Avenue and Cholla, where they found a baby in a car seat sitting right in the middle of it.

Clouser realized she'd never actually placed the baby inside the car, and retraced her route -- she was 12 miles away, near 83rd Avenue at this point -- and showed up to the location where police officers were investigating the baby-in-the-intersection thing.

Police say Clouser admitted that she just smoked some more marijuana just after midnight, and was also jailed for driving under the influence of an intoxicating drug.

The youngster was taken to the hospital, but was released with no injuries, according to the documents.

Clouser's facing charges of child abuse and aggravated DUI.
