It's no secret that us New Times folks are fans of Epicurean Wine, in North Scottsdale. From a wicked wine list and weekly tastings to impressive retail offerings and classes on how to pair wine and food, there's plenty to love.
Now, there's yet another reason to dig this place: Epicurean moonlights, er, daylights as a cafe.
Open daily, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., this hip hangout caters to the hangover crowd and the lunch bunch, too, offering a selection of coffee drinks, smoothies, pastries, and paninis. Considering that there's free wi-fi, customers can caffeinate themselves and nosh all afternoon -- right up until it's time to start drinking wine.
A pretty smart strategy, don't you think?
