"It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of Ambrogio15," the statement said. "We are incredibly grateful for the amazing support we’ve received from the neighborhood and our loyal customers."

Along with its signature 15-inch pizzas, Ambrogio15 also served decadent pasta dishes, seafood and steak. The drinks menu featured creative cocktails and a large collection of Italian wines stored in a central, towering glass case.
Ambrogio15's California locations remain open in Pacific Beach and Del Mar, with a spot inside the San Diego airport coming soon. According to the statement, the ownership group will concentrate their attention on those restaurants. However, they didn't rule out a return to the Valley in the future.
"At this point, we’ve made the difficult decision to focus our energies on our locations in the San Diego market, where we are continuing to grow and strengthen our presence," the statement said. "While this chapter is coming to an end, we look forward to the possibility of new projects, including a fresh concept in Arizona when the time is right."
