Welcome to Best Bites, or in this case, Best Sips, a series where we celebrate not a whole restaurant or menu, but one specific and amazing dish or drink. These items have something to say and we are listening. Keep reading for a latte seriously worth seeking out. Dig in!

S'mores are delicious. But sometimes you don't have the time or space to build a campfire to roast your own marshmallows. That's where Firecreek Coffee Co.'s Campfire Latte comes in.

As many Phoenix folks make their way north for Memorial Day weekend, the food-focused may have their meals all planned out. For its relatively small size, Flagstaff is packed with dining gems serving must-try dishes. When it comes to drinks, craft beer is front of mind for the brewery-centric city. But make sure you don't miss this coffee.

Firecreek Coffee Co. is based in Flagstaff and has locations throughout the state, including in Sedona and Phoenix. It also sells beans via wholesale accounts.

Its main cafe is located in the heart of downtown Flagstaff, right along the historic Route 66, just across from the train station. Inside the red-walled coffee shop, customers sip lattes and chat over the noise of the train rumbling by outside.

The shop itself is a classic college town hangout. It is cozy and a little grungy in the best way. The walls are filled with local art and the tables are always full of students. What differentiates it from your standard cafe is the quality of the coffee. Firecreek roasts its own beans at its Flagstaff roastery, located just a few blocks from the cafe.

The Campfire Latte starts with a shot or two of espresso and then gets a blend of slightly salty graham cracker and not-too-sweet chocolate syrups, plus the milk of your choice. To top it off and really hone in on the theme, a marshmallow is placed atop the artfully swirled foam and toasted with a blowtorch until crispy on the outside and melted inside, just like the perfect s'more.

So skip the hassle of building a fire and don't worry about getting smoke in your eyes. Instead, get a taste of the best part of camping with this s'more-in-a-cup creation.
