In a "shocking" turn of events, yet another "patient" was struck down at the Heart Attack Grill in Las Vegas.
The woman fell unconscious while eating a double bypass burger, smoking a cigarette and drinking a margarita. Owner Jon Basso told Fox5 reporters that the 40-year-old woman, "[Gave] her body every single thing it would handle and the body gave out."
Emergency services arrived promptly and the woman was transported to a local hospital where she is expected to recover.
Of course this isn't Heart Attack Grill's first brush with notoriety. Just two months ago, another diner suffered an apparent heart attack while trying to slay one of their triple bypass burgers which contains 1.5 pounds of beef.
You all may recall the the the Valley was home to the Heart Attack Grill for a number of years before the demise of their 575 pound spokesman, Blair Rivers. Since its inception in 2005, the Heart Attack Grill has consistently grabbed headlines with its over-the-top menu and theme. It certainly grabbed our attention and we dispatched our own Zach Fowle to tackle their quadruple bypass burger, a burger that Basso claims is being inducted into Guinness World Records for its caloric content. After Rivers' death and a dispute with the city of Chandler over the building's color, Basso closed the Chandler location without fanfare.
