Although it was the usual hot and sunny March weather at Salt River Fields on Sunday, it wasn't your average Diamondbacks spring training game. A special press conference was held an hour before first pitch for Kirk Gibson to talk about the team's next day flight to Australia for the season opening series against the Dodgers. The press conference also included an appearance by Patrick Corbin who announced he had sustained damage to the ulnar collateral ligament in his elbow. The starter could be out for the season.
