The Phoenix Suns led by Devin Booker, and rookie Deandre Ayton, the No. 1 pick in June's NBA Draft,  started the 2018-19 season with a bang by defeating the Dallas Mavericks, 121-100, Wednesday night, October 17,  at Talking Stick Resort Arena. New head coach Igor Kokoskov cleary had his young team prepared for what fans hope is the new era after having little to cheer about in recent years. The team made 19 three-pointers tying an NBA record for most threes in a season-opener. Devin Booker, returning from injury, scored 35 points and Ayton had 18 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in his pro debut.
