Puscifer Brought a Sublimely Bizarre Spectacle to Arizona Federal Theatre in Phoenix

Powerful music and strange visuals filled the space at Arizona Federal Theatre when Puscifer and opening act Moodie Black hit the stage on Saturday, June 11, 2022.

Moodie Black, a three-piece noise rap band fronted by former Phoenix resident Kristen Martinez, transfixed the audience in a way few opening acts are capable of. (Local musician Bentley Monet of Snailmate is behind the drum kit on this tour.)

But Maynard James Keenan, Carina Round, Mat Mitchell, and the rest of Puscifer were what fans had been waiting for for years, and they didn't disappoint. Songs from 2020's Existential Reckoning, hilarious film clips, dancing aliens and a cameo by Keenan alter ego Billy D didn't disappoint.
