The Exclusion Zone is the heavily guarded area around the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in northern Ukraine that was abandoned after the Chernobyl nuclear disaster in April 1986. It's a beautiful, yet haunting place, and walking through it can feel like walking through the setting of a horror movie — discarded shoes, a baby doll left behind, gas masks made for a child. Here are the creepiest things I saw during my trip to the Exclusion Zone.
