One new idea for every day in 2011. We're talking big, small, local, international, in action and on the drawing board. Here's today's -- what's yours?
Sometimes it's OK to be a lazy -- especially at Practical Art.
The Downtown art space, at 5070 N Central Ave. in Phoenix, announced it will be hosting a "Lazy Arse's Book Club" every first and third Monday night (starting June 6), that's perfect for the "urban pirate with suede-elbows on their tweed 'slops.'"
All books are sea-inspired and around 200 pages. In June, the group will be reading "Shipwrecks" by Akira Yoshimura (192 pages), which you can grab at Bards Books or Changing Hands.
Naturally, the book club organizers promise to have rum and cokes on hand.
The only stipulations for book club participation: 1) buy the book, and 2) read the first half before the meeting (that's 96 pages, lazy arse).
