Tea'Ching: History and Tasting

On Wednesday, July 9, at 6:30 p.m. Glendale Foothills Library is giving out some loose leaf lessons on the cultural history of tea with the free library event Tea'Ching History and Tasting. From Buddhist monks to Boston Harbor revolutionaries, discover the numerous roles tea has played throughout the centuries as a remedy, a ritual, and a symbol of political rebellion. This historical timeline will be complimented by tea tastings and appetizers. Class size is limited. Stop by Caribbean Spice on Saturday, July 12, between 5:30 and 7 p.m. for a free evening of spoken word performances by Marcus Wright, the author, poet, and host of NPR's Reggae Street. Wright will bring to life his journey from being a Jamaican immigrant to U.S. citizen with the retelling of stories and poems from three of his published works. Creative Cloud Event Phoenix

Downtown designers and the digitally creative are invited The Duce on Wednesday, July 9, for a free evening of Adobe Creative Cloud.
