Support the independent voice of Phoenix and help keep the future of New Times free.
Here on the Corner, an eight-year old boutique that specializes in women's clothing and accessories, is looking for a buyer.
Co-owner Lisa Bayne confirmed that the shop, located at 714 South College Avenue in Tempe, is indeed for sale, but will not be closing, despite what has been injected into the local rumor mill.
"We're not unloading merchandise," Bayne tells New Times. "We're trying to sell it as a turn-key operation."
As of the time this post was published, Bayne, along with business partner Sharla Hartgraves, hadn't found any interested parties. According to Bayne, if they're unable to find a buyer in the near future, the store will continue as is.
"We're looking to do different things with our careers," explains Bayne about why she and Hartgraves are selling the store.
The fashion-y boutique, which was originally located inside Arizona State University's Memorial Union, has been part of central Tempe's shopping scene since 2002.
