Nice Racks

We pretty much keep to ourselves here in the editorial department at New Times, huddled in our caves while creating the content of these beloved pages. But the marketing department just did something so cool that we’re a little embarrassed that we didn’t think of it first. (We’re supposed to be the creative ones, right?)

The fine folks of marketing put out the call to local painters like Lalo Cota, Banding Hendrix, Jeff Falk, Kyle Jordre, and more, who all picked up their paint brushes and decorated 50 of our newspaper racks. The awesome results will be on display during the “Phoenix Art & Soul Project” exhibit, opening with a First Friday reception at Local Breeze. It's our city's one shot to see these babies in the same place before they're dispersed throughout town.

The shindig will include live music and eats.
