Phoenix Festival of the Arts 2014 Poster Contest Now Open

The Third Annual Phoenix Festival of the Arts may be several months away -- Friday, December 12, through Sunday, December 14, to be exact -- but the Phoenix Center for the Arts' festival planning committee is already on the lookout for new artwork to grace the page of this year's festival poster.

Interested artists have until Sunday, May 31, to submit their artwork for consideration in the Phoenix Festival of the Arts 2014 Poster Contest. If selected, artists will be credited. However, the work will become property of the Phoenix Festival of the Arts. In addition to the bragging rights, the contest winner will receive a $300 cash prize.

Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
