The hours of operation read 11 to 9 outside of Mother's Bar and Grill, but it's the kind of place that will do nearly anything to keep the regulars happy, including staying open late to keep the Coors flowing. Those same regulars have carved their names into the bar--lacquered over to preserve their integrity--and the bar features photos of repeat visitors tacked randomly on the wall, next to shrines to John "The Duke" Wayne and former Arizona Governor Rose Mofford. Caution tape warns of the building's low ceiling, and the plywood floors make it feel like the set of a Wild West flick. Open since 1972, Mother's stakes a claim as "The Pride and Joy of Buckeye Road," as advertised inside.
