Offering both casual sit-down dining and a boba tea shop, this inexpensive Taiwanese joint located at Mekong Plaza is a winner. Favorites include spicy wontons, a half-dozen pork-filled dumplings in a chile-infused oil and topped with cilantro. Scallion pancake with egg is an onion-rich, light-as-a-feather treat for the vegetarian in you. And the beef roll, Express’ signature dish, is both a great appetizer and a solid entrée. Stewed beef tossed with hoisin sauce and wrapped in a scallion pancake, this one offers textures and flavors you won’t find elsewhere on the menu. An extensive dim sum menu is also available most days.
