There wasn't an edition of popular dubstep session Subversion going on this week, and not just because the Subsonic Tour starring Excision was at the Marquee Theatre last night.

The organizers and promoters behind Subversion announced today via they're in the process of not only moving the event back to its original home in Tempe, but are also changing its name back to UK Thursdays.

Starting next week, the event will take place at School of Rock on Mill Avenue in Tempe, which is where UK Thursdays launched back in 2009 when the place was known as Cherry Lounge & Pit. It eventually moved to Disco in Scottsdale and became Subversion after Cherry changed both its ownership and name last August, bringing in some major names in the dubstep world to the Scottsdale danceteria (not to mention some really big crowds as a result), such as Jakwob and 12th Planet.

The rechristening of UK Thursdays takes place on Thursday, March 10, when organizers welcome British beatmaster High Rankin into their midst. For more info, check out the night's Facebook page.
