You have less than a week to take part in the championship round of The Gelato Spot's Local Chef Flavor Competition. At the beginning of the summer, 12 Phoenix-area chefs created unique gelatos, which were split into three groups and pit against one another throughout June, July, and August. Get in on the action by trying the fan favorites at one of four Valley locations -- in Scottsdale, Phoenix, and Chandler -- now through Sunday, September 8.

Without further ado, Chow Bella presents the three finalists and their flavors:

Shoyu Caramel Chocolate with Macaroon Streusel Tracy Dempsey Olive Oil Lemon Zest & Stracciatella Cullen Campbell Arizona Peach Cobbler Justin Beckett

The finalists are representing Tracy Dempsey Originals, Crudo, and Beckett's Table, respectively. Strong contenders knocked out in the semi-final rounds included The PB&J (peanut butter with raspberry port brown butter sauce) from James Fox of Bootleggers and Drunken Arizona Date Cake, a frozen version of the popular dessert from Payton Curry's Brat Haus.

Votes are accepted via text message or website, but we suggest letting The Gelato Spot know which of the final three flavors has stolen your heart by eating as much as you can before it's gone. A donation of $5,000 will be made to Phoenix Children's Hospital in the winning chef's name.
