Food Network star Guy Fieri has pulled up his cherry red Camaro convertible to so many Valley restaurants over nearly 20 years of “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” that he’s circling back to some of his favorite spots on “Triple D Nation.”

On Friday, viewers can tune in to see Fieri return to sample the inventive, over-the-top eats from Paradise Valley Burger Co.

Bret Shapiro founded the burger shop in 2011 and it has been featured on two previous episodes of Fieri’s popular road-tripping food tour "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives." During those visits, the spikey-haired chef sampled some of Shapiro’s unique signature handhelds, including the Booze Burger made with beer-battered patties.

Fieri’s upcoming visit to Paradise Valley Burger Co. is Episode 12 of Season 6 of "Triple D Nation" titled “All-American Eats.” It will air at 9 p.m. on Friday, followed by a second showing at midnight. During the episode, Fieri also makes stops at a diner in Buffalo, New York, and a family-run restaurant in Goshen, Indiana.

This season of "Triple D Nation," Fieri has come back to several Valley spots such as the causal Italian eatery Giuseppe's On 28th, the Scottsdale barbecue joint The Thumb, Sal’s Gilbert Pizza, Tortas Chano in Anthem, Perk Eatery in Scottsdale, Curry Corner in Tempe, and Republica Empanada and Aloha Kitchen in Mesa.

Since Fieri last checked in at Paradise Valley Burger Co., Shapiro has opened a location in Tempe and moved the original location from 40th Street and Bell Road in Phoenix to Hayden Road and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard in Scottsdale. In the dining room of the new Scottsdale space, Shapiro has memorabilia displayed from Fieri’s visits, along with reminders of other shows Paradise Valley Burger Co. has been featured on, including “Man v. Food.”

Shapiro created a new burger for Fieri's visit that's a tribute to a favorite Doritos flavor. The burger has house “cool ranch” seasoning and is encrusted with nacho cheese-flavored Doritos. It's then topped with nacho cheese crema, salsa verde, sweet-and-spicy bacon, pickled onions, crushed red pepper and fresh oregano.

To celebrate the episode, customers can now taste this Doritos-inspired burger at both locations for a limited time.
