Last year we marked the hundred day countdown to Best of Phoenix by sharing some of our favorite food folks' "Personal Best" lists. This year we're bringing back our list of 100 Favorite Dishes. Have a suggestion for a dish you'd like us to try? Leave it in the comments section or email lauren.saria@newtimes.com.

98. Whiskey Cream Gelato from Marrazo That's Amore

Marrazo That's Amore will have you feeling quite amorous with their unique gelato concoction featuring a hefty dose of whiskey flavor. The flavor's sweet, creamy gelato base is amped up with ribbons of ooey-gooey caramel and a sinful dose of whiskey.

Although this North Valley joint has all of the traditional Italian gelato flavors, the whiskey gelato wins points for creativity and decadence. Like a rum cake, this spiked confection combines all of the best parts of a night cap with all of the best parts of dessert, making it near irresistible for booze enthusiasts and gelato lovers alike.

However, That's Amore isn't all about the gelato. The Italian bakery also features classics like cannolis, profiteroles, tiramisu, and even zodiac-inspired cakes. Though, with temps heating up, we see ourselves sticking to the gelato case for a while.
