Travis Rice's "Fodderland" exhibition at ASU's Step Gallery.
The local art scene took some interesting twists and turns in February. Travis Ivey created an exhibition pairing his own work with that of his alter ego, Hank. The Heard Museum opened its new Virginia G. Piper Grand Gallery, created by consolidating two smaller gallery spaces. Danny Neumann showed one miniature superhero photograph for each day of the year at Walter Art Gallery. And New City Studio decided to run with a peace theme, which brought mixed results. Here's a sampling of February 2017 exhibitions for those who might have missed them and those eager to revisit a few of their favorites. All photos by Lynn Trimble.
