The Rock Lottery Showcased Local Musicians at Crescent Ballroom

The local music scene started the new year out right on January 11 at Crescent Ballroom during the seventh annual Rock Lottery. Early Saturday morning, five bands created from scratch had to write original tunes and learn a cover to perform in front of a packed house. Luckily, the 25 participating local musicians were up to the task. The night was filled with fun, odd cover song choices (and some band names that were better than others) with all proceeds benefiting the Rosie's House music charity.
